| Application / Use | Pre-test in an inconspicuous location. ready to use, no mixing required. Spray onto damp, cleaned carpet at a rate of 1 gallon per every 400 sq. ft. Spray using a light, even stroke, then repeat 90 degrees to first application for even coverage. Brush or rake to spread protector evenly and align carpet pile for drying. Keep people and pets off carpet until dry. For dry carpet, mix 1 gallon water to one gallon FourGurard Carpet Protector RTU (1:1 dilution), apply 1 gallon per 200 sq. ft. Do no spray on furniture, hard surface floors, or walls. Immediately wipe off over-spray with a damp cloth. Important Usage Instruction:Do not spray on furniture, hard surface floors, or walls. Immediately wipe off any over spray with a clean, damp cloth. Sprayer Recommendations: Pressure sprayer equipped with 8004 jet at 35-45 psi. Sprayer dedicated to FourGuard Carpet Protector application is recommended to prevent accidental mixing with other chemicals. Flush sprayer with warm water to clean and prepare for next use. Sprayer Maintenance Tip: DO NOT STORE PROTECTOR IN SPRAYER. Unused carpet protector left in a sprayer will likely cause clogging in the sprayer's hose line and spray nozzle. We highly recommend pouring unused protector back into its bottle and flushing the sprayer, whether it be pump or injection style, with warm water at the close of the work day. Dedicating a sprayer for only protector application is a good idea and one with a pressure relief valve or vent allows the technician to safely and easily decompress the sprayer and pour out its contents without blowing out a seal or o-ring. |
