SurfaceShield with Micropel.
Important information: the odor of this product like many common household products with an odor may irritate those who have allergic sensitivity.
Staining: Product may stain clothing and unprotected materials.
SurfaceShield will adhere to and coat both semi-porous materials (wood and paper) and nonporous materials (metal, plastic, and glass). SurfaceShield dries quickly and is nearly invisible after drying. The SurfaceShield coating is a permeable barrier between the environment and surfaces to which it is applied.
SurfaceShield is specially formulated for use in residences, commercial buildings, institutions, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes or wherever cleanliness is required.
Directions for use: SurfaceShield is a concentrate which must be well shaken or stirred prior to mixing. SurfaceShield may be diluted with 4 parts water prior to application. When a thicker and more durable coating is preferable dilute with 3 parts water. SurfaceShield is viscous even after dilution with water and is most efficiently applied with airless paint sprayer or electric sprayer (50-100psi). Coverage rate is approximately 500 sq. ft. per gallon.
Water Damage Restoration and Remediation Applications: Prior to use, all water leaks must be repaired and any residual standing water absorbed. Apply diluted SurfaceShield atop all water damaged areas.
To prevent cross contamination of airborne particulate during structural drying and dehumidifier operations:
1. Thoroughly clean and decontaminate affected areas.
2. Apply to structural materials, voids, cracks, and crevices.
Final wash cleansing solution: Areas with visible fungal contamination or water staining should be removed whenever practical. Wehn removal of water damaged materials is impractical the surfaces should be vacuumed with a vacuum cleaning equipped with HEPA filter and then damp wiped with a suitable antimicrobial SurfaceShield is a final wash cleansing solution which may be brushed, rolled, painted or wiped onto affected surfaces.
New construction applications: Remove visible mold from new lumber prior to installation by HEPA vacuuming and damp wiping affected material with suitable antimicrobial. SurfaceShield may be applied to wood, paper, metal glass and plastic surfaces.
HVAC System Refinishing: It is highly recommended that the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (www.nadca.com) Standards and guidelines for air duct cleaning be followed. After cleaning and when deemed desirable, SurfaceShield may be applied to the air-ducts.
