Features
Thoroughbred is a floor finish with a new generation of metal crosslinked acrylic copolymers that will resist detergents and the scuffing of floors. Thoroughbred floor finish is fast laying, quick drying, and its initial gloss is excellent for use in schools, hospitals or other high traffic areas where high or low speed buffing without powdering is desired.
Directions:
For best results apply full strength (do not dilute) over freshly stripped and rinsed floor. Apply first coat lightly, being more concerned with even coverage than quantity of finish applied. Allow approximately 15 to 20 minutes drying time between coats then apply a second coat a little heavier than the first.
Coverage: (Rates are per 1 US Gallon (128 ounces)
First Coat (completely stripped) - 1000 to 1500 square feet
First Coat (new flooring) - 1000-2000 square feet
Note: New flooring may or may not have a protective wax or floor finish. Cleaning prior to applying floor finish for the first time may or may not have the strength. depending on the cleaning agents used, to remove this protective floor finish. Due to this variable, we recommend following the 1000 to 1500 square foot coverage rate on new flooring.
Standard Coverage Rate (all other coats) 2000 square feet
Note: Cure Time
Please allow 24 hours cure time after last coat before high speed burnishing with a pad any darker than beige. Under certain conditions in the hands of a seasoned professional, burnishing may be performed earlier than 24 hours, but we do not recommend it.
