Dilution(s) | Urine or Skunk Decontamination: Remove excess soil, waste matter, animal carcass, etc. Mix 1 part Skunk Odor Control with 10 parts water. Located contaminated areas with a black light or moisture detector. Apply by sprayer or wet fogger directly to the contaminated area. Allow 10-20 minutes dwell time. Clean textiles using the hot water extraction method. Urine Decontamination on Oriental Rugs: Pre-qualify with customer, urine may cause dye bleed, yellowing, or fiber damage. Dry vacuum to remove damaging particulate prior to wetting. Wet down run with plain water in a wash pit where the rug can lie flat. Mix 1 quart of Skunk Odor Control in 5 gallons of water for a 9 x 12 pile rug (adjust quantity for size of rug--approximately 1 quart Skunk Odor Control per 100 sq. ft. of rug). Pour about 1/3 of the mixture on the rug back and shampoo in. Flip the rug and pour the rest on the front and shampoo in. Add water so the rug is covered by 3-4 inches of water. Use a roller to begin to loosen the urine. Roll the face once and let the rug soak for an hour. Roll again and let soak for a second hour. Poll after 3 hours and at this time you can wash most rugs. Do a final flush on the rug and roll while water is running over the rug. It should rinse clear at this point and can be put through your rug washing process. |
