Thermal Fogging

Thermal Fog particles are generated by a thermal process rather than by mechanical action. The fluid to be fogged is first vaporized by an increase in temperature and the vapor is then condensed upon introduction to the cooler atmospheric air. The resulting of the process is the generation of extremely small particles less than 0.5 microns which is called a dry fog. Thermal fogging is an effective smoke odor removal procedure because it recreates the fire related properties of heat and pressurization. Porous material pick up thermally activated deodorant droplets in the same manner in which they picked up the smoke odors, closely duplicating what occurs during a fire.
