Helpful Hints: Preparation work first- To avoid any major clean up from over sprays and splatters always protect your customer’s walls, cove base, cabinets, appliances, etc. by covering them before you start cleaning your tile floors.
Restoring tile, grout & stone: Soap Free Procyon Tile, Grout & Stone Cleaner Concentrate is a wonderful product that you can count on to get the job done right. Even if you have new tile and it is your first cleaning, “do not use detergents” to clean your tile, grout or stone floors. Detergent will leave a soapy sticky residue. Some people will say, “We rinse all the soap out”. Yes, you think you might be rinsing the soap out, but you cannot get the entire soapy, sticky, residue out of the tile, grout and stone floors using a mop. You just spread the detergent around leaving a soapy, sticky residue to attract dirt and cause rapid re-soiling. When tile floors become wet, they will become slippery. Have you ever seen: “CAUTION SLIPPERY WHEN WET” “DO NOT USE SOAP”
Soap Free Tile Grout & Stone cleaning steps: First examine your tile and grout floors for loose tiles, cracked and broken grout lines. You should note this for your record so the next time you clean the tile, grout & stone floors you can
review your notes to see if you need to have them repaired or replaced. Inventory your cleaning equipment and supplies that you will need to do the proper tile, grout or stone cleaning job.
If you have steam tile cleaning, truck mount, or portable equipment with a tile wand, then all you need is Procyon Tile Grout & Stone Cleaner Concentrate to get started. Just follow the directions on your bottle. SHAKE WELL

Use a wet/dry vacuum or extractor: Vacuum wet soil and detergent build up from tile, grout & stone floors.
Fresh water rinse tile, grout & stone floors:Re-extract using a wet /dry vacuum or extractor. Repeat: Rinse and re-extract.
After the final rinse and extract you will need to use a (CLEAN DETERGENT FREE) 100% cotton mop for the final clean up around the base boards. This mop should be dedicated for rinsing only. Please be aware that a dirty mop in the final clean up will spread detergent residues back on to your cleaning job. Rinse all the detergent residues from your mop, keeping your mop soap free. Remember the floors will stay cleaner longer if you do not use anything that will cause even the slightest detergent residue or build up in your cleaning job. Detergents will cause rapid resoling as well as slipping and falling accidents..
Grout sealer with an applicator: After your tile, grout & stone floor is dry you may want to apply a quality grout sealer. Remember your grout sealer will not bond to the grout if there is any detergent residue remaining on your freshly cleaned grout floor.
